SHS Bihar AYUSH Medical Officer Recruitment 2025: The State Health Society (SHS), Bihar has released a major recruitment notification under the National Health Mission (NHM) for the appointment of AYUSH Medical Officers in various health centers across the state. These contractual positions will be filled in Primary Health Centres (PHC), Community Health Centres (CHC), and Additional Primary Health Centres (APHC). Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly honorarium of ₹32,000.

The recruitment is divided among different AYUSH disciplines as follows:
- AYUSH Medical Officer (Ayurvedic) – 1411 posts
- AYUSH Medical Officer (Homeopathic) – 706 posts
- AYUSH Medical Officer (Unani) – 502 posts
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university:
- For Ayurvedic MO: BAMS or equivalent from a recognized institution, registered with Bihar State Ayurvedic & Unani Council.
- For Homeopathic MO: BHMS or equivalent, recognized by Central Council of Homeopathy and registered with Bihar Homeopathic Council.
- For Unani MO: BUMS or equivalent, recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine and registered with Bihar State Unani Council.
Candidates must have completed their internship training as well.
Age Limit (as on 01.08.2024)
- UR / EWS (Male) – Up to 37 years
- BC / EBC (Male & Female) – Up to 40 years
- UR / EWS (Female) – Up to 40 years
- SC / ST (Male & Female) – Up to 42 years
- Age relaxation is applicable for PwD candidates and government employees as per rules.
